Dr. Mary Makhlouf

Dr. Mary Makhlouf is a dedicated and compassionate dentist known for her meticulous attention to patient care. With extensive training and experience, she prioritizes oral health by helping patients overcome dental issues and build lasting, trust-based relationships. Born in the U.S. and raised in Lebanon, she speaks Arabic, English, and some French. Her early experiences as a first responder in Lebanon and as the founder of the first English-speaking Girl Scout troop in the country shaped her deep commitment to service.
She earned her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, graduating in the top 10% of her class with numerous awards. She further honed her expertise through a Hospital General Practice Residency at UNC-Chapel Hill, specializing in treating medically complex patients. Her career has spanned academia, hospital dentistry, and private practice, with achievements including Diplomate status with the American Board of Special Care Dentistry and fellowships in the International College of Dentists and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Makhlouf enjoys piloting hot air balloons and participating in charitable events.
